I'm back in Vegas now. Somewhat sad to leave Death Valley behind, but I won't miss all the bloody sand and grime.

Here is a frame from another shoot with Brittany - this time a night shoot in a pool with a Phase One back. I was using a 300mm manual focus Mamiya lens for this shoot and it was very difficult to see well enough to focus, as it was quite quite dark (when my strobes weren't firing for the shot, that is).

Camera/lens & digital back runs about $50,000; the lighting kit was worth about $200 (that's including the Lastolight EZbox. High-end meets ghetto... guess which one I owned?

Somewhat... but i'm still a guy at heart, and loves me my toys. I can't believe they let me truck that thing around in the desert for a week. And here in Vegas I've been using my iPhone and S90 - I still haven't unpacked my 5D. Heh. =)
