Off The Cuff week 2

This was the dress Heather designed for the second week of the Off-the-Cuff competition - a Project Runway style event organized and run by Argyle Fine Art, for emerging designers here in Halifax. This week's competition saw the designers given a bag of fabric from local fabric manufacturers, and they had to use *all* of the fabric in their weeks' design.

Heather came up with a nifty looking jacket over a delightful dress - all looking very mod. Since our first week's image had been very dark, we had always intended to make week two's shot very light. In the event, we had only about 20 minutes for the shoot (we did the shots on the sunday morning before each week's show, so that our model would have hair and makeup done for the runway portion of the show).

Seeing the geometric pattern on the fabric, and the happy, mod shape of the dress, we sought to do a very light, 60s British style fashion shot.
