Artist's Comments
Following a commercial shoot for the website of a local salon, where we shot the staff in a police line-up, Kristin Langille, who had been assisting me on the shoot, stepped in and played a few rolls of her own.
We fiddled with a lot of concepts, and then tried to refine each one as we went along. This one, obviously inspired by A Clockwork Orange evolved out of Kristin playing a mime - which I thought looked kind of like Alex from ACWO. Anyway, we shot a few as 'Alexa', changing up the poses and such. At one point, I thought some small piece of anarchy or broken order had to be added - which resulted in the off-kilter 'D' in Scotlan'd' Yard... We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
