I've admired Natalie Addam's images for quite a while, and I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to shoot with her in Los Angeles.
An absolute doll, Natalie is a real trooper, willing to go through a lot to get a shot. Given the amazing talent she's shot with in her past, she's also remarkably patient with novice photographers like myself.
This was a shot I had planned for Natalie before I left on the trip. I had bought this faux Russian winter hat in Alaska in July, and thought Natalie would show it off to good effect. I had the character Natasha Fatale from the Rocky & Bullwinkle cartoon in mind, and I think Natalie did a fantastic job playing the faux Eastern Block spy.

I'm actually in Hamilton Ontario at the moment (about 40 miles from Toronto), as my dad had a heart attack and emergency bi-pass surgery on Friday. His heart attack came on the first day I was supposed to be out there, so in a small way, I was fortunate to only have to do the 90 minute flight from Halifax rather than trying to get back to Toronto from LA.
